As human beings, we have that intrinsic need to be loved. We often find this need met in companionship with another person. Relationships do not have to be a 'tug-of-war'. A lot of our communication is lost in translation. In relationships,no one really fights with someone they don't care about. In therapy, I work with my clients on resolving conflict, strengthening their bond and rediscovering what brought them together. I implement various methods and techniques to help them develop new attitudes towards all of life’s most complex matters-TOGETHER.

Feeling a bit down lately and nothing seems to lift your spirits? Are you constantly worried and on edge? Have you resolved to drinking or using other substances to feel like you're 'functioning'? In my therapy sessions, we’ll work on resolving current issues through working on problematic thought processes. We will address underlying issues that cause distressing reactions through restructuring incorrect perceptions. We will work on gaining a better perspective on how to best approach daily challenges that have been keeping you 'stuck' and provide you with valuable tools to cope with life’s obstacles. I’m confident you’ll find personalized individual therapy beneficial and motivating as you learn to find your own answers in the process. You are the expert on your own life, but even experts know that learning never ends. They become experts through continuously working on self-awareness with objective guidance.

FAMILY THERAPY
Coming closer together
Family is beautiful but it does come with it's own challenges as we go through life. Do you feel there is a change in how much you enjoy each other's company? Have your teens and 'tweens' stopped communicating or started what feels like a 'mini-rebellion' against authority? Are you and your partner having differences in opinion on how to raise your children? Lets not forget, you are in a home with many unique personalities. Are you co-parenting after separation and having difficulty reaching a middle ground? It might be time to seek professional guidance and a more objective perspective . I utilize Family Systems therapeutic interventions and other evidence-based approaches in my sessions. I have found that these approaches help clients develop positive attitudes towards life’s most complex and challenging circumstances within the family context.
